How To Use This Site

This blog was updated on a daily basis for about two years, with those daily entries ceasing on December 31, 2013. The blog is still active, however, and we hope that people stopping in, who find something lacking, will add to the daily entries.

The blog still receives new posts as well, but now it receives them on items of Wyoming history. That has always been a feature of the blog, but Wyoming's history is rich and there are many items that are not fully covered here, if covered at all. Over time, we hope to remedy that.

You can obtain an entire month's listings by hitting on the appropriate month below, or an individual day by hitting on that calendar date.

We hope you enjoy this site.

January 6, 2014. Wyoming History In the Making. Cindy Hill hearings commence

Today, January 6, 2014, three days of hearings will commence in the Wyoming legislature on the topic of Cindy Hill's tenure as head of the state's department of education.

Ms. Hill, an educator and a lawyer by training, has been hugely controversial.  Her actions lead to the legislature essentially gutting her responsibilities as Superintendent of Education which in turn has lead her to file a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of that action.  In the meantime, these hearings could well result in a bill of impeachment being introduced in the Legislature, a first for this state.  Hill is now a declared candidate for Governor, although the race itself is a long ways away and her chances of surviving the primary against incumbent Governor Mead are next to non existent.
